new home; shoe form and floral oil painting

I love seeing some of my sold items displayed in their new home, it's especially nice to find they were purchased by my fellow Etsy sellers and also photographer extraordinaire.

Tracey from Tracey Capone Photography shoot and blogged about this shoeform she got from my shop to decorate her new apartment.

1001vintage

I came upon this new, up-and-coming vintage Etsy shop 1001vintage the other day, (thanks to the awesome MMMC for her post and connections) and have gone back many times perusing their pages and checking new items.  The shop is based in Amsterdam and is full of well-selected modern pieces home décor and lighting, they have the most gorgeous vases to die for, it was really hard not to click on most of their items and placing them in my cart  to purchase.

teapot collectibles

Is there anything more soothing and comforting than a cup of tea? Probably not, and that is why I think teapot collecting has grown in popularity over the years. If I only had enough shelves in my house to display my collections of teacups and teapots then I would definitely keep this and this.

Etsy has a wide range of collectible teapots for every personality, taste and every budget. But for the fun purpose of this post I only picked the most expensive ones I found on vintage and handmade category of Etsy. I'd say if you're in a market for collecting teapot and have the dough to splurge why not start with these lovely teapots instead?

sunny days are my most productive days

It’s been nice and sunny the last couple of days and I have been photographing like crazy. I live in the Norhtwest where it’s cloudy, rainy and overcast most of the year. And when it’s sunny and bright like today I had to put everything aside on my to-do list and take pictures first thing. Spring must be right around the corner because the bluejay is back in my backyard. He usually comes around much later like late February or March, but he was here today and I got to take a picture of him.

On another note, I am really excited to reach my 600th sale this weekend, which was a great milestone for a small hobby that turned into a full time job. So to celebrate, I treated myself to this...
