I took these photos from my front yard yesterday after the rain stopped. We've been having lots of April showers here in Seattle as of late and I love it; there's nothing like the distinctive fresh smell after the rain, and the pretty flower buds popping everywhere this time of year. I'm looking forward to do a little bit of gardening this weekend.

I have enjoyed visiting Seattle and Portland in the spring. The rain makes the plants so grand and lush. The grape hyacinths you pictured are one of my new favorites. I'm about to go out and clean up more of our yard. We have hyacinths in bloom and the daffodils are just beginning. Such a wonderful time of the year!
