When my husband and I go to estate auctions, I am mostly the paddle keeper. He knows that I know what to look for, what I want and mostly very conservative about bidding in general, and plus I don't yet trust his junk hunting skills yet. Well, on one recent auction I had to get up to go to the ladies room in the middle of it and harriedly left my purse and my number with him. Upon paying my "winning items", found these two pairs of old looking native beadwork mittens; winning bid $45!. I thought that was a lot of money. I don't really know anything about native beadworks and I still have to do my research, but until then I am securing my number with me on our auction trips.
P.S. I will be having a give-away here on Monday, please come back and enter to win. Happy weekend!
That's too funny!!! I'll be you get your money's worth and then some. The bead work looks pretty. : )
ReplyDeleteHaha, I knew where this was headed a few lines in. I hope they are worth it, and agreed-take your number with you next time! Have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteHow did I miss this post? I was laughing out loud. My husband would have "won" the same sort of thing. Your photos of them are gorgeous :)
ReplyDeletehahaha! I think they are really cute but yeah, $45 isn't cheap :)
ReplyDeleteThey look interesting to me. I think your husband make a good purchase. I'll be interested to hear about your research on those. Plus, I'm just impressed your hubby likes to go with you. My husband hasn't caught "the bug" yet. Have a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteOops! :) Well, they do look pretty interesting! I've never seen anything quite like them. Maybe your research will turn up something neat!
