seeing green

lately I have been drawn to the color of green, particularly sea green. I have been finding lots of green colored items in my recent trips to the auction and thrift shop. Here are some recent green addition to Modish Vintage.

shop update; bags and shoes

I am updating the shop with some handbags and shoes, I know not the usual fare but I did some organizing in my closet and some things are taking up some valuable space. Don't worry I am not turning the shop into a boutique, it is not so easy to list these stuff, ball of the foot? insole, what is that? Anyhoo, the bags are listed, shoes next.

Monday shop update: back to school items

Just added these few "back to school" items in the shop this afternoon. I got lots more to list, and if you have been noticing I tend to save the best/biggest items for last as they take more time and effort to list, so I will be listing the "big" items towards the middle or end of this week. Stay tuned.

shop update and a give-away

I've just added some vintage oil and watercolor paintings in the shop, if it weren't for my carpal tunnel pain I would have listed more. So, there will be a few more artwork to come tomorrow.

mid-week shop update: $20 or less vintage items

Most of the time I can't wait to list the "big" items I find from my auction trips that I put aside the smaller items in boxes, then surprises myself that they are still there waiting to be photographed and listed.

Today's shop update are the smallish items priced at $20 or less.

fresh new listings: industrial decor vintage finds

I've just added some fresh vintage items to the shop with industrial decorating in mind (well with the exception of the little glass birdie), but the drafting chair and the large lowercase letter "r" are my favorite finds of these bunch. You can find more details here.

if it looks like a duck...

...and it's vintage and cute, then I usually scooped them up when I spot them from thrift stores. There's just something about ducks, birds and owls that I'm drawn to and have since noticed a small collection was starting to pile up.

Monday shop update: something for Dad

I was able to gather some manly man items in my storage room yesterday, took photos of them and listed them today. They're up in the shop right now, I think they would make a great one-of-a-kind present for the special dad out there.

Today's shop update has no real theme except that I felt photographing bold colours this past weekend. And lately I tend to gravitate on brightly coloured objects especially red and orange. You know where to find these items :)

magnolia blooms and Monday shop update

Today was a hectic day with full of appointments and small errands. It's also a gorgeous spring day and I took a few minutes raking some leaves outside and just soaking up the sun. I also snap some photos of my blooming magnolia tree on the front yard, it took several times of shooting, uploading and adjusting as the sun was so bright and had to tinker with the camera a little, I just learned something new about my camera today, bright sun, less ISO speed.
