sneak peek

Just a few of the things that are coming to the shop on Monday.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Just a few random photos I've taken this week, as I have been uninspired and lacking some ideas for a blogpost.

a corner of my living room; this is one of the many display cabinet I have in my house, as you can see I try to maximize every flat surface to store my inventory and this is one of them.

in a completely unrelated non-vintage note I just splurged on these new pairs of flats for the summer.

and the last blooms of my camellia tree.

Hope everyone is having a great week!

vintage fine china

In my two previous estate auction trips I was able to acquire some beautiful sets of vintage china, most of them are in very good shape. I created a new section in my shop to list these beautiful dinnerware. I've already listed a few Ironstone, Jean Luce, Bavarian and Arabia Finland, you can find them all here. I will also be listing some Fostoria and jadeites in the coming days and week.

They would make a very special gift for a bridal shower, wedding, or how about mother's day?

dolls anyone?

last week (from an estate auction) I came home with all of these...

when all I want are these three.

Most of the time I get an instant collection of everything from the auction. Like last week, when there's only a couple of vintage dolls that I want out of a big pile that was on the silent auction table. No one was interested in them and I won them all for almost nothing.

Factory 20

Though they're probably been blogged many times I'm still posting some of their photos here for inspiration. I just adore the photography on their website, and the dusty bottles as photo props is so genius! It looks like it's been sitting there for a hundred years and was finally discovered and captured in photograph.

So, if you're on a hunt for that one-of-a-kind-out-of-this-world collection of vintage industrial objects, their website if full of that; that is if money is no object to you.

my most favorite shade of green

I got this lot of vintage hand mixers from last week's estate auction, they had lots of old wooden kitchenware in black and reds but I'm glad I won this.

It's been a hectic week. I hope to post more next week.

happiness is...

...Sunday afternoons. I love lazy weekend afternoons, especially Sunday when all the hustle and bustle of Saturday engagements/party/shopping is done and we settle down for some relaxing time to get ready for the coming week.

...fresh flowers from the backyard; which makes great photo prop.

... Barbie movies to occupy the little ones while I take photos.

...a whole bag of clementines at a tea party.

Hope your Sunday afternoon is as relaxing as ours!

the finer things; sneak peek

A few photos of next week's shop update. Some pieces are from my personal collection and some from a recent auction trip.

Happy Friday!!

Monday shop update

"I owe my color sense to crayons"

~Angelo Rafael Donghia, New York Times

Today's shop update has no real theme except that I felt photographing bold colours this past weekend. And lately I tend to gravitate on brightly coloured objects especially red and orange. You know where to find these items :)

Happy Monday!
