so I stopped and smelled the roses and took a long nap

Hello and happy Tuesday!

It felt like I lost a day or two; I wanted to take photos of my haul this weekend but yesterday I was so tired that my body just went to slumber for 7 hours after I dropped the kids off to school. I woke up at 3 p.m. and had barely  enough time to pick them up.

I'm very lucky and grateful to work from home but most of the time I can't seem to turn the switch off.  I'm sure other work-at-home-mom can relate, it's like you have a hundred things to do that are all equally important and you don't know which one to tackle first so you just run around in circles to try and get them done all at the same time. And then you get drained and burn out.  So yesterday, I felt guilty that I did not get anything done and felt the whole day was wasted.  But today I had a renewed energy and got halfway done on my to do lists. Sometimes all you need is a a long nap.

p.s. The roses was from the house where I went to buy my vintage finds this past weekend which I also used as photo prop this morning. I'll show photos of my finds later this week.

  1. Sometimes the best thing to do is to just give in to it & sleep.

  2. I agree with Knoopjes. although, I usually make the mistake of setting down to knit a new project...which I end up ripping out and going to sleep anyway :)
